All Elastomer Isolators are named to describe the
single material that makes up the mount; i.e., the elastomeric resilient
element without metal or other structural materials. These mounts all load
the resilient element in compression. An exception is The Ball
Mount series that does utilize a buckling arch in the axial direction
only. The elastomer is usually in direct contact with the payload,
support structure and mounting hardware. Barry All Elastomer
Mounts perform best when supporting the primary static load axially through
the mount. They are made fail safe when used with the appropriate
back-up or snubbing washer that is necessary on almost all installations
using these style mounts. Select from one of
the All Elastomer Mount Types below for more specific information. |
